The Proposed Troop 272 PLAN -- Two years to EAGLE!

Selling Popcorn and Candy bars is a great way for your scout to fund his own program. The troop needs about $500 a year to buy badges and keep the equipment up and running, the boy's help make that happen by working at the rummage sale and other fund raisers. Major capital projects are funded with donations by the community. The Scout needs $185 for Summer camp and money to pay for campouts, trek-ins and other events. Currently 100% of candy bar and popcorn profits will go directly to the scouts "Scout Account" to pay for their activities. Support your Scout, get them out working to pay their way!!! Troop 272 is Fountain Co. fastest growing troop, largest troop, and most active! We need your help to keep this up!

Webelos crossover May/June or February depending on the Pack.

OPPORTUNITY IS HERE<TAKE IT>

The scout will have about 58 maximum opportunities within this program to earn merit badges in two years.  If the scout chooses carefully he can get the 21 merit badges for Eagle, and still meet the demands placed on a scout’s time:  sports, band, and other youth activities.  The typical scout would be expected to earn 30 merit badges in the two years.  The program’s goal is to get all the scouts to First Class, and provide multiple opportunities for the scouts to earn Eagle in two to four years.  Every boy has the opportunity to become an Eagle Scout.  The troop encourages, supports and hopes all boys will choose this path.  As more boys follow the Eagle path, others will see the light and make the effort to be an Eagle!  Eagle before girls, cars and jobs is the most productive path, will luck the girls, cars and jobs will be in much better hands, the hands of an Eagle…

Eagle service project will be up to the scout to develop and complete.  Second Class and Star and Life service projects will be provided (group activities) for scouts as needed, most of this activity is helping other scouts with their Eagle service projects.
